73 This ugly little beast is the best budget backpack cooler I tested. It held more cans and was better at insulating compared to the Tourit. The Igloo MaxCold Voyager has a great price, though I’d bet you’ll be looking for a new backpack cooler in three or four years, as it’s not the most durable.
68 The Igloo MaxCold Voyager was the best backpack cooler I tested under $100, but I think a better investment would be the Icemule Pro XL 33L. While the Igloo performed decently in my insulation tests, if you’re willing to spend a bit more, you can get a much more adventure-ready option.
76 After comparing the ORCA 20 Qt to other popular brands, the biggest reason to choose ORCA is because it’s made in the USA. The YETI Roadie 24 is the best quality, the RTIC 20 Qt was the best value for money, and the Igloo BMX 25 is the best option for a budget cooler. The ORCA 20 is a great cooler, but it doesn’t really stand out in any major category.
75 While the Pelican 20QT Elite didn’t outperform any of the other coolers I tested in durability, capacity, or insulation, it’s definitely the easiest to carry longer distances. If I had to carry my cooler 100 or more yards every time I used it, I’d probably pick the Pelican 20QT Elite.
